Conference Chair

Dr. Salom Gnana Thanga Vincent (Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) Blue Charter Fellow 2019-20) is a Professor at the Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Kerala. Dr.Vincent is the Ambassador for ECSA to India and has organized three regional meetings of ECSA in India. Dr.Vincent officiated as Head of the Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Kerala, for two terms of three years and also Director of the School of Earth System Sciences, University of Kerala. Her broad research area is the benthic ecology of coastal ecosystems. Her work specifically focuses on the structural and functional diversity of microbes in the coastal environment of Kerala and relates the benthic diversity to environmental and anthropogenic impacts.
