Anna Addamo

Marine biologist and ecologist, currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn Genoa Marine Centre, (Italy), studying the marine socio-ecological systems in the Mediterranean Sea and Gulf of California. She previously served as a postdoctoral researcher and project manager for the MPA Europe at Nord University and worked at the Spanish National Research Council and the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre. Her research combines systematics, molecular ecology, and seascape ecology to study benthic biodiversity across shallow to deep-sea ecosystems, supporting conservation, protected area design, science-policy integration, and sustainable marine governance of vulnerable marine ecosytems.
